When reading music it is important that you get the length of the note correct or the piece will not sound right. the chart I made above shows the length of the notes in regard to each other. These are not the correct names but for beginners  they are easy to remember.
These diagrams are to help further explain what I stated in my YouTube video. On the second picture only focus on the top notes at the moment as I will teach you Treble clef first then move to Bass.

These are the most basic chords for guitar and are the main chords for most songs today.
I do not own this (timerendle.com) but this is the most simplest chord chart I can come up with. I will post a video on my YouTube account in order to show the chords and how they sound.

In order to play music it is important that you can read the music. These are the most basic of notes to start off with.

In order to remember them I use mnemonics. for example in the treble clef E,G,B,D,F can become Every Good Boy Deserves Fruit. F,A,C,E rhymes with space. In the Bass Clef Great Big Dreams For Australia and All Cows Eat Grass.
